Our Materials

All Bare Jewels pieces are crafted using either 18k Gold Plated Stainless Steel or 18k Gold Plated 925 Sterling Silver.

Information regarding the metal type, is available to view in each product’s description.

STAINLESS STEEL

Unlike other softer materials, it can withstand most daily activities without sustaining corrosion and scratches. Plus, stainless steel jewellery doesn't tarnish so it looks good even with minimal maintenance. Our Stainless Steel jewellery is also water safe.

CLEANING & CARE

If your Stainless Steel jewellery becomes dull or loses its shine over time, you can polish it with a jewellery polishing cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaners that aren't specifically made for gold-plated jewellery.

When jewellery is not in use, store in a dry cool place.

925 STERLING SILVER

Unlike our Stainless Steel jewellery, our 925 Sterling pieces are more delicate and require additional care.

It is important to note that 925 Sterling Silver will naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to environmental factors like air pollution, moisture, and items that contain sulfur.

CLEANING & CARE

To prevent your sterling silver from tarnishing, do not spray perfume directly onto your jewellery and apply cosmetics, moisturisers, and hair products before adding your jewellery.

Take it off when washing your hands or swimming and keep it in a dry cool place when you're not wearing it. You also want to take it off when exercising.

When jewellery is not in use, store in a dry cool place and clean with a jewellery polishing cloth regularly.

 CLASPS

Due to 925 Sterling Silver being a delicate metal, it is common that the earring clasp occasionally moves in the process of putting them on. Overtime, it may result in a loose clasp, to avoid this simply do the following.

Gently lift the part of the clasp that goes through your ear slightly up or down. A small adjustment can tighten them a lot. Adjust until the clasp clicks in or until the desired tightness. Over time through taking them on and off you may find the clasp gets loose again, simply repeat the above steps.
